Career Opportunities
“For the Counsellor Who Wants to Do More Than Log Hours“
You chose this field to make a difference. To sit with someone in their struggle and help them find their way. At Greyspace Mental Health Services, we believe your internship should be the first, powerful chapter of that story—not just a requirement to complete.
We invite dedicated postgraduate counselling students to join us for a 3-6 month immersive internship at our partner International School. This is a role for those who see “client hours” not as a tally, but as precious opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.
Here, Your Passion Meets Purpose & Professional Foundation
We provide the structured, high-quality environment where your dedication can flourish and be shaped into professional competence.
- Secure Your Required Hours in One Comprehensive Site: Achieve the majority of your LKM-mandated direct contact hours through a single, rich internship experience. Gain diverse, supervised practice in all core modalities:
- Individual Counselling: Provide one-on-one therapeutic support to students, teachers, and staff.
- Group Counselling: Facilitate therapeutic groups to foster shared learning and resilience.
- Psychoeducational Workshops: Design and lead sessions on mental well-being, life skills, and emotional regulation.
- Career Counselling: Guide students in exploration and planning for their future paths.
- Psychological Assessment: Conduct assessments to better understand client needs and inform support strategies.
- Supervision That Transforms Your Practice: Learn from the best to become your best. Our experienced, licensed (KB; PA) supervisor(s) provide weekly, in-depth 1-to-1 mentorship at no extra cost. This is more than case review—it’s where you will deepen your personal counselling philosophy, refine advanced techniques, and receive direct training to become a successful, confident practitioner in the real world. We prepare you for the profession, not just the practicum.
- Become an Integral Part of a Community: You won’t be on the sidelines. You will collaborate with teachers on student support strategies, assist with classroom dynamics, and partner with school management on wellbeing initiatives. This holistic view is what creates truly effective school counsellors.
We Are Looking For The Intern Who:
- Is enrolled in a Master’s in Counseling (LKM-approved), driven by a genuine desire to help others.
- Approaches the required 3-6 month commitment (5 days/week during school terms) as a professional opportunity. Those available for 6 months allow for deeper impact.
- Thrives in a collaborative, international school setting.
- Communicates proficiently in English; Mandarin fluency is a strong asset for connecting with our diverse community.
Your Foundation for This Journey:
